Been driving the Travego 16 for a couple years now, mainly on cross-border trips with tourists and corporate groups. The interior is comfortable, roomy enough for everyone, and those big windows are a nice touch for sightseeing. Passengers seem pretty happy with the individual AC vents and those personal tables. The adjustable seats are handy. The power from that OM 457 engine is steady, no lack of pull, but I gotta say the fuel consumption is a bit hefty-30L per 100km starts to sting on long hauls if the company is tight on fuel budget. Auto box on mine, shifts are smooth. Maintenance is about what you’d expect for a bus this size and class. Nothing drastically bad, but keeping the A/C and kitchen gear in good shape needs attention. No breakdowns so far, so that’s a relief. Loads of storage space down below for bags and gear. Haven’t had any real comfort complaints from passengers. Only gripe, price is steep even on the used market-but you sort of expect that.

Used this model for a few trips last month. The interior setup truly impressed. With plush seats and effective climate control, passengers remained satisfied throughout. From the driver’s angle, the steering and suspension systems ensured a smooth drive, even on uneven roads. That said, adjusting to its size in tighter urban areas presented mild challenges initially. Overall, the Travego delivers great comfort and sturdy performance.

I've been on the road with the Travego for over a year now, clocking thousands of kilometers each month. The digital cockpit is a huge plus, everything's in one place and I don't need to squint trying to see numbers. The lane assist is helpful but the system beeps a bit more often than I'd like. The seats inside make the longer trips a lot less painful for the passengers, and the aircon seriously keeps the cabin bearable even in summer. Only real grumble is that some of those electronics take a bit to figure out if you're from older buses. Maintenance side, not too bad so far, but those high-tech add-ons do mean trips to service take a little longer sometimes. Reliability's been good overall. Wish the price was a bit easier on the wallet though.

Just did a few long trips in the new Travego (2026) and honestly the ride comfort is way up there, even compared to older Mercedes coaches. Passengers definitely notice those panoramic windows and all the extra space inside. I do like the digital dashboard, it's easy to use, except sometimes I miss the good old analog stuff - less stuff to glitch, you know? The safety kit is stacked but lane assist yelled at me a bit much when changing lanes in traffic. Suspension eats up bumps real nice tho, especially on some of those beat-up highways outside the city. Not sure about the price, we all know it’s not cheap, but it’s a Mercedes. I just wish the maintenance costs weren’t so mysterious until something actually breaks. But overall, driving this thing is less stressful, and that's big for a driver who racks up hours behind the wheel.

I had the opportunity to experience the 2009 Mercedes-Benz Travego on a recent long-distance journey. My thoughts on this model are mixed, but mostly positive. The bus's braking system stood out with excellent responsiveness, likely due to the integrated ABS and Electronic Stability Program (ESP). However, I found the cockpit layout somewhat overengineered; it took a moment to adjust to the placement of controls. The engine, delivering 456 hp, ensured a smooth and powerful ride, even on inclines. Comfort levels for passengers appeared high, although the acoustics could be improved to dampen noise further.
